Building community with public art since 2023

Under the moniker, The Salvage Yard, I co-lead two projects that were temporary installed at the Fischer Pavillion in Seattle, WA and Burning Man in Black Rock City, NV. Putting my time and creative energy into these intensive projects is how I give back.

We created these stickers, patches, and accessories to help fund our 2024 installation, The (Re)Salvaged Spoon. All purchases will now help us create our 2025 installation, Cup Commune, coming to Burning Man this August.

Meet the artist

Taylor Simpson is a queer, neurodivergent, Seattle-based emerging artist creating home goods inspired by daily life, wonder, and sensory experiences. Born in Michigan to an architect and an industrial engineer, her formative years embraced both the technical and creative. In 2017, Taylor earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she leaned into digital design and painting. Before starting her studio practice in 2024, Taylor worked for several years in UI/UX design, collaborating across disciplines to develop delightful and useful interactive experiences.
